On
Thursday, May 5th, the Monastery of the Theotokos the Life-Giving
Spring will celebrate its feast day beginning with small vespers at
7:00 pm, followed later in the evening at 11:30 pm with an all-night
vigil that will end at 6:30 am. Beginning at 7:00 on Friday,
May 5th, and continuing through the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, Fr.
Demetrios Carellas will be leading a retreat at St. Nicholas Ranch &
Retreat Center. Join Fr. Demetrios as he continues his journey
into the Beatitudes given to the Church by our Lord.

which alone makes our salvation possible. Come, therefore, and learn
the art of Byzantine iconography. The lessons will include
everything from the history of Byzantine Art to actually entering
the studio and completing an icon! No studio art experience is
necessary. All materials— paper, canvas panel, paint, brushes,
palette, etc.— are included in the Registration fee. For

Marriage Encounter

The
Marriage Encounter Weekend is a positive and personal experience for
a couple which offers them a technique of loving communication that
they can, use for the rest of their lives. It's an opportunity to
look deeply into their relationship with each other and with God.
Also, it's a time to share their feelings, their hopes, fears, joys
and frustrations. Marriage Encounter is an Orthodox expression open
to all happily married couples regardless of faith, race, age,
education, or financial status. Marriage Encounter is not a retreat,
nor is it a marriage clinic or sensitivity course. It is not a time
to look at the past but rather to look at your future together. The
weekend offers a positive and simple experience, which enhances the
